2015-04-25_1605Osborne was born in St. Louis, MO, moved with his wife Teresa to Jennings, MO where raised 3 kids. He was a career motion picture projectionist. He got his start at 14 years of age working in a storefront Nickelodeon. He subsequently joined the local projectionist’s union, progressing as a theater electrician and then into a full time projectionist.

During the mid-thirties, he worked with the FBI and local union attorneys to thwart the Chicago Mob’s attempt to take over the St. Louis projectionist’s union. The effort was successful.

In 1949, he and Teresa divorced. She initially lived with son Glennon for a few years then went to live in OR with other son, Osborne Jr.
